Board examination systems, such as ACT QualityCore and Cambridge International Examinations, have been proven to be effective in preparing diverse populations of students around the world to a high level of academic success. Move On When Ready seeks to raise Arizona students' academic achievement to the same national and international college- and career-readiness standards by implementing these systems, coupled with the Grand Canyon High School Diploma, on a voluntary basis in Arizona schools.

What They Are
Although it sounds like it is just a test, a board examination system is much more. It includes a core curriculum, a comprehensive syllabus for each course, instructional and teaching materials for each course, examinations, professional scoring of the exams, and targeted professional development for teachers. The core curriculum includes classes in English, math, science, history and the arts. English and math classes are aligned to the Common Core State Standards.
Board examination systems are designed for all students, including those with disabilities and English language learners.
