Larry Penley heads his own consulting firm, Penley Consulting, LLC, which specializes in developing leaders of senior executives and in developing the potential of colleges and universities. He writes a weekly blog, Penley on Education and Energy. The blog focuses on America’s competitiveness in these two critical industries. He was President of Colorado State University, Chancellor of the CSU System, President of Thunderbird School of Global Management and Dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business. He is Professor Emeritus of Management at Arizona State University, and he is Senior Fellow at Center for the Future of Arizona. Penley and his wife, Yolanda Sanchez Penley, Ph.D., are both career educators. They moved to Arizona 30 years ago, and they reside in Phoenix.
