The Arizona We Want
NEW SURVEY DATA:
What Makes a Good Election? Arizonans Agree on the Answer

Our latest statewide public opinion survey provides data-driven insights into what Arizonans want elections to deliver, regardless of party or outcome, as we head into the 2026 election and beyond. The findings show an overwhelming 97% of Arizonans say fair and secure elections are essential to a healthy democracy.

When asked what defines a good election, Arizonans agree on nine principles being important or essential, and across the political spectrum, they consistently put accuracy at the top. That’s just the start: more findings are in the full results.

“When we lead with shared principles, we can leave rhetoric and conjecture behind and instead measure our elections against what Arizonans value most and better identify actions to strengthen election processes and voter experiences. That’s the opportunity in front of us.”

Our Common Purpose: Strengthening Civic Culture in Arizona
Local and national leaders discuss ways to strengthen civic health across Arizona

Local and national leaders joined CFA to reflect, collaborate, and discuss ways to strengthen civic health across Arizona.

Civic health doesn’t improve by accident; it improves when leaders align around clear goals and credible data. CFA and the Arizona Center for Civic Leadership convened local and national partners to kick off a process of revisiting the Arizona Civic Health Progress Meters and advance the Arizona Civic Life Partnership’s work to put the metrics into action. From a national panel on strengthening civic culture to hands-on discussion of new indicators, the convening focused on turning shared public values into shared progress.
