August 2022

Our August update

Welcome to the August edition of our newsletter! We are hiring a new role, welcoming a new board member, and have new Arizona Voters’ Agenda resources to share.

Data Snapshot: Flip the Script to Increase Voter Turnout

Why It Matters:

Electing leaders aligned with Arizonans’ values relies heavily on participation. The more Arizonans are involved, the closer we can get to electing leaders who represent most Arizonans, their ideas, and their collective interests.

The Arizona Voters’ Agenda shows that the majority of voters care about and agree on many issues and actions critical to our state’s future. They want to hear candidates discussing the priorities outlined in the Agenda when considering whom they will support with their vote.

We can all encourage productive political dialogue and participation in the upcoming General Election among our networks. Download and share Arizona voters’ priorities and what candidates should address as they compete for votes.

Out Now: New Arizona Voters’ Agenda Materials

Together, we can center the priorities of Arizona voters in our elections. Browse our suite of materials on the Arizona Voters' Agenda– a data-driven guide to what the majority of voters prioritize and want to hear from candidates– to support your conversations, moderated forums, social media, and more.

Seen & Heard: CFA Around the State

At CFA, we listen to Arizonans to learn what matters most to them, share trusted data about how Arizona is doing in those priority areas, bring critical issues to public attention, and work with communities and leaders to solve public problems. All of our work is to ensure that the public values we share are realized for all Arizonans by shaping and advancing The Arizona We Want. To do this, it is mission-critical to continuously engage with our partners and community members – here’s a peek at some highlights from our work in August:

At the beginning of the month, CFA joined over 300 rural leaders and stakeholders in Winslow at the 15th Annual Rural Policy Forum, which connects rural economic development professionals, community leaders, business owners, nonprofits, and other rural stakeholders and advocates who are interested in sustaining rural communities.

Hosted by Local First AZ and Rural Development Council, the forum focuses on skill-building, networking, relationship development, and sharing best practices relevant to the unique needs, challenges, and services of rural communities in Arizona.
