SPB Coordinator Roles & Responsibilities
The primary role of the SPB Coordinator is to serve as the liaison between SPB Advisors, SPB sponsors, and school and district leaders. This person may be a district administrator, program coordinator or manager, academic coach, teacher, school administrator, or staff. If you are implementing the SPB process in your classroom, at one school, or in an organization, you might find helpful information in both the SPB Coordinator and SPB Sponsor resource hubs.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Participate in training and professional development to learn all about the process.
- Recruit SPB Sponsors and garner buy-in with relevant stakeholders across the district.
- Oversee the assembly of the steering committee of students and support SPB Sponsors through each phase.
- Assist with planning & hosting SPB Vote Days, with support from SPB Advisors and SPB Sponsors.
- Participate in process evaluation, including gathering program data from SPB Sponsors and communicating relevant information to SPB Sponsors and Advisors.
- Maintain communication with SPB Sponsors and Advisors throughout the SPB process.
